 I've noticed that unchecking 'use clientLogin' does in fact resolve this
 error, but now the SSL handshake is failing.  OTOH, sending my password in
 the clear isn't really appealing either.  Is anyone else seeing this, or
 has unchecking 'use clientLogin' completely resolved the issue?  I'm at
 2.6.5.

 Is it an AOL issue?  openssl s_client -connect slogin.oscar.aol.com:5190
 gives me the same failure
