 Ever since 2.6.4, my font size has been appearing a lot smaller than it is
 supposed to in the text input field in the conversation window. I realize
 this has been a problem with some Windows applications that utilize GTK,
 but it's just curious that it happens now, since it was fine in 2.6.2
 (never tried 2.6.3).

 I'm attempting to use Arial 10 as my font, but when typing into the input
 box, it appears to be much smaller. Though it does cause a bit of
 eyestrain, the greater issue is that it causes the text box to "flicker"
 as if it's constantly resizing itself up and down.

 Once the message is sent, the text does appear at the correct size in the
 conversation window.

 If the text overflows to a new line, the flickering stops.

 If make the font larger, the issue goes away, but of course, the recipient
 is treated with a font larger than I intended.

 An aesthetic problem, but a problem no less, as it has bothered me enough
 to stick with an older version of Pidgin where the issue did not exist.
 I'm not trying to be nit-picky, but I'm hoping there is a fix for this, as
 Pidgin is easily one of the best IM clients I've used.
