New description:

 I have a number of buddies in my list so that the buddy lists is about 3
 times the height of the Pidgin window, so it has a scrollbar. If I scroll
 down to the bottom of the list and click the +/- sign to the left of a
 group (that contains only 3 buddies), Pidgin will scroll the entire buddy
 list to the very top, and the group I expanded/collapsed will go out of
 view.

 I would like Pidgin to try to keep the group in view.
