Comment:

 I'm having trouble getting the debug log because pidgin isn't crashing
 when I'm running it. I suspect it won't crash unless certain contacts are
 online or something? Maybe someone has to have a strange-behaving avatar?
 Anyway, as soon as I can get pidgin to crash, I will attach the debug log
 here.
