 Suddenly had this problem today. No SSL blockage going on here, posting
 this over https. Maybe they changed the API. Unchecked "use clientLogin",
 and now it works. Had to check "use clientLogin" a couple of months ago,
 because back then the other method did not work. Guess Pidgin caught up
 with any API changes on that side in the meantime ...
