#12312: GoDaddy Root Certificate and wildcard bug
-----------------------------------------+----------------------------------
 Reporter:  ladar                        |        Owner:  darkrain42
     Type:  defect                       |       Status:  new
Milestone:  2.7.2                        |    Component:  libpurple
  Version:  2.7.1                        |   Resolution:
 Keywords: godaddy certificate ssl tls |
-----------------------------------------+----------------------------------
Changes (by darkrain42):

  * keywords: ssl wildcard root godaddy ssl lavabit => godaddy certificate
               ssl tls
  * owner:  => darkrain42
  * milestone:  => 2.7.2

Comment:

 "*.lavabit.com" is ''not'' the same thing as "lavabit.com". The former
 matches only single-level subdomains (that is, it doesn't match
 "lavabit.com", nor does it match "a.b.lavabit.com"). Since you say it
 does (presumably a (second) subjectAltName), would you attach the .crt to
 this ticket so I can take a look? (I can't find a running server). Which
 TLS library is libpurple using here? (It should be in the Help->Build
 Information page, although if you're just on Windows, then it's NSS)

 I'll also look at adding the GoDaddy root(s).

 For future reference, it would be better to file these as separate issues
 (it's easier to track just a single thing per ticket).
