Comment:

 I just installed Mandriva 2010.1 with Pidgin 2.7.1
 (pidgin-2.7.1-1mdv2010.1).  The problem still exists and has not been
 corrected.  I have updated the main report to now point at 2.7.1 (was
 2.6.3/2.6.5)

 Certainly, I cannot be the only one who has noticed or had this problem
 over the last 6+ months???
