 Pidgin does not start when executed. This error is always reproducible.
 The underlying reason or attached bug is that pidgin does not shut down
 properly too. I am using ICQ and XMPP.

 When XMPP is deactivated pidgin works fine. I can only get pidgin to start
 by removing the accounts.xml, starting pidgin and entering my account info
 manually.

 Currently all plugins are deactivated.

 strace afforded some occurrences of this:
 read(7, 0x81365a0, 4096)                = -1 EAGAIN (Resource temporarily
 unavailable)

 Any significance? I would be happy to provide any additional information
 needed. The problem seems to only be associated with XMPP (server:
 jabber.org).
