 Pidgin does not create the main window with the buddy list, if there are
 accounts defined in the .purple directory. Removing the .purple results in
 the account creation wizard pop'ing up and after creating an account opens
 the buddy list window.

 Restarting pidgin with the newly created .purple directory results in the
 exact same problem with a missing buddy list. The logs indicate that
 information is correctly read from .purple, and pidgin manages to sign
 into the defined accounts. It even pop's up dialog boxes, if passwords are
 not saved but still no buddy list.

 Problem is 100% reproducible.
