 Moving to case-insensitive usernames at this point has a number of
 possible pitfalls.  Mostly, (and I have no idea how many people this would
 impact) people who ''already'' have username that collide with other
 usernames.

 datallah, could we add a note to the login/reset password page saying
 "Both usernames and passwords are case-sensitive"?
