 We have the same problem using Pidgin 2.6.6 and 2.7.1, when inviting a
 sametime user using the lotus 8.5 client. Our tests went as follows over
 the sametime protocol:

 (inviter client --> invitee client)

 1. pidgin --> pidgin
   * the multi-user conversation is created with no problems
 2. sametime --> pidgin
   * the multi-user conversation is created with no problems
 3. pidgin --> sametime
   * sametime user sometimes receives invite but receives an error
     message upon accepting which tells them that the conversation is
     finished and everyone has left (even though the conversation is still
 going).

 As it stands, pidgin users cannot invite sametime client users into multi-
 user conversations.
