 Starting with version 2.7.x I see that when I compile/install pidgin I
 miss pidgin.desktop file (which was not the case with previous versions).
 Was that done deliberately to not support generation of pidgin.dekstop on
 non-nls installation ?
 This comes from configure.ac:

 if test "x$enable_i18n" = "xno" ; then
         echo
         echo Warning: You have disabled the building and installation of
 translation
         echo data.  This will prevent building pidgin.desktop and the
 GConf schemas.
         echo Be sure you know what you are doing.
 fi

 I'm running Gentoo without nls support and I would like to get my pidgin
 menu entry automatically installed when pidgin is - that's all.
