 From a not-so-in-depth look, the xssidle plugin looks good. (Normally, you
 wouldn't need to look up the 'mins_before_away' preference, but it looks
 like you want to always set idle when a screensaver is running, in which
 case I guess that's necessary.)

 You can consider listing your plugin(s) in
 [http://developer.pidgin.im/wiki/ThirdPartyPlugins the list of third party
 plugins].
