New description:

 Pidgin 2.4.3
 Debian Lenny
IM Accounts : Only XMPP (jabber.fr)

When I try to open Pidgin, and I want to switch on Connected mode, I've a
segmentation fault (when contacts appear online). It's the first time :
before, I never had problems. But yet, there is always the bug... However,
I did not update my system.

Comment:

Please follow [wiki:GetABacktrace the instructions] to get a backtrace and
attach it to this ticket.[[BR]]2.4.3 is really old.

I suspect this is a bug that has been long fixed.

I suggest you use a newer version from debian backports.

If not, please provide a backtrace with debug symbols.
