#12214: Local language characters bug in emotes
------------------------------------------+---------------------------------
 Reporter:  GwynBleidD                    |     Owner:  salinasv
     Type:  defect                        |    Status:  new
Component: custom emoticons | Version: 2.7.1
 Keywords: regional character emote bug |
------------------------------------------+---------------------------------
 In windows
 In emote , when there is an regional character it is treated as separator,
 ex. for this emote:

 {{{
 ../pidgin-original/gg/3-uczen.gif                       <uczen> <ucze\ń>
 }}}
 emote is displaying if i type <uczeń or >. If i type <uczeń> it's
 duplicated.

 There is no difference if it's escaped by \ or not.
 Charset for the theme file is UTF-8.
