 I have strange occurence that started yesterday.

 I write to one of my buddies, he replies and suddenly, after 1-5 seconds,
 I get the same message from him.

 I use pidgin, and he uses YIM. It's not him playing pranks, because when I
 see 'xxx is writing...' before first message, there's no such line before
 second.

 Length doesn't matter - sometimes 2 lines repeate after a second,
 sometimes an emote repeats after 10 seconds.

 It only happens in conversations between him and me. He doesn't get
 repeating messages nor he sees them in his own window.
