 I read in the changelog that XMPP emoticon sizes were changed for BoB XEP
 compliance in 2.6.6. The dimensions of smileys now seem dependent on an
 undisclosed (thanks, by the way!) file size that has been thus far
 impossible for me to pin down. As is always the case with PIDGIN, this was
 done without an option, which makes it worse in light of the fact that
 Google servers, which the majority of XMPP traffic is on, have no such
 limitations.

 This is a defect, quite clearly, because it breaks functionality the
 MAJORITY of XMPP users enjoy (large file sizes). I can only request that
 it be fixed, either by adding an option (God forbid Pidgin ever does
 that), or the changes reverted.
