 Well the actual problem is my inability to login to an OpenFire server
 using the XMPP protocol on a Windows 7 Professional isntallation. It tries
 SASL authentication, says it can't find a "worthy mech" even though PLAIN
 and CRAM-MD5 are available, and I login to the server with Windows XP just
 fine with the same settings.  So I figured it had to do with my lack of a
 Kerberos or some Perl lib for SASL.

 I've attached my debug log.
