 In my search for an answer and I read about a color discrepancy...  No
 settings where changed between me and 2 other chat buddy's...  Only a few
 days ago the receive text disappeared...
 If I highlight it... then it shows through...  Your probably correct and
 I'm sorry if I drew any conclusions... Nothing was changed on the 2
 buddy's machines..  I use Pidgin on XP and on Hardy.
 I updated to the latest version of pidgin on the XP machine...  no
 difference. The 2 other buddy's had no problem with each other...
 anyway... I am happy with the...show formatting on incoming messages to
 disabled...  It does the trick for me...  thanks for the reply
