Comment:

 The milestone field is for my use only. Do not set it yourself.

 Most protocols don't actually allow us to do anything even remotely
 similar.  In fact, XMPP is the only protocol I know of that has a
 mechanism that's in-protocol that other clients can use.  Almost every
 client that implements this misfeature on non-XMPP protocols does so by
 guessing based on capabilities (for AIM and ICQ) or by how a client
 responds to certain types of magic packets (Yahoo and others).  We will
 not implement this in Pidgin.  The closest we're willing to come is
 supporting identification of client type (i.e. mobile, web-based,
 standard, etc.) ''where the protocol provides accurate information'' about
 this.
