New description:

 I am using the latest version 2.6.6. Everything was fine until today. I am
 not able to connect to google talk or xmpp. It was working about 2 hours
 ago but not now. i receive an error message " remote host closed
 conenction".

  1. I deleted the account and recreated the account. No Luck
  1. I uninstalled pidgin, restarted the machine, reinstalled pidgin but no
 luck.
  1. No changes have been made in network settings.

 Please help
