 Whenever I send a message to someone, it appears to have gone through just
 fine (e.g. shows up in the chat, and in the log), but the person doesn't
 actually receive it.  Further, if they send something to me, they see that
 it went through, but I don't receive it.  No error messages on either end.
 I was trying to diagnose the problem by being on the phone with someone
 while chatting via XMPP.  I have switched my XMPP account over to my Gmail
 account (as much as I didn't want to) in effort to see whether it was the
 XMPP protocol on my system, or the account to which I was connected
 (jabber.org).
