Comment:

 Sorry, not a power Pidgin user and was not aware of the -n option.  When I
 ran with that I saw that this was a duplicate of ticket #10314, although
 until I ran with the -n option Pidgin just crashed on startup.  When I ran
 with -n, I saw the unexpected response from startOSCARSession, disabled
 "useSSL" and then successfully enabled the account.  Thanks for your help.
