 I can confirm this, but unfortunately, my efforts to get a backtrace on
 Ubuntu 9.10 just have two calls:

 memcpy()
 ??
 }}}

 I'm just clicking on my current icon, selecting an image, and clicking
 "open".  This is when the crash happens.
