 I am using Pidgin 2.6.6 on Windows XP - SP3. Animated gif avatars do not
 appear animated in the Buddy List or when you hover over a contact. They
 do appear animated in the top-right corner of a conversation window, but
 again not when you hover the mouse over the contact. I have tried with
 both a 96x96 image and one that is 100x85 with the same results in both
 the Buddy List and conversation windows.
