 I am using Pidgin 2.6.6 from debian unstable, version from the
 repositories, on a debian sid 64 bit. I have 5 accounts, one of which is
 an msn one. I can authenticate with the 4 others, i can write, i see
 online buddies and they see me, everything works.
 the msn account has this issue: when i connect with it i am online, pidgin
 reports the account is online, i am seen online by my buddies (tested by
 trying with people i can get to with other protocols like jabber) and they
 can write me on msn but:
 if they write me:
      they appear offline, but i can read
      i can respond (they are marked offline)
      i can transfer files with them (they are marked offline)
 if i write them:
      they do not get my message until _they_ write me first
      they see me online
 i am using the standard account from the drop-down menu', and have been
 using pidgin since version 2.4, it always worked. privacy settings are set
 to "allow everyone".
