 odd -- after a couple days, the issue went away..
 i'm not sure why it's okay now.

 I will try to reproduce by adding a buddy
 and then use the debug build to attach the debug log.

 I have a suspicion that it only occurs if the buddy being added to my
 pidgin list
 uses the yahoo yim client, but will try to figure out.
