 Our family has one computer in a common area.  Each of us uses Pidgin with
 our own separate configuration.  I have separate icons set up with each
 person's profile.  Things work fine, but the interface is awkward.

 When multiple pidgins are running, they show up in the systray with
 identical icons.  It's a pain to tell which one to select.

 Also, my daughter tends to get confused and forget to check the system
 tray for an alaready-running instance and just double-clicks on her icon.
 So sometimes I come to the computer and find ten or twenty pidgin icons in
 the systray.

 Here is my suggestion: 1) when multiple simultaneous instances are
 permitted, starting an instance a second time switches you to the already-
 running instance.  2) Each profile should have the ability to specify a
 systray icon, or at least choose from among a set of icons (or icon sets,
 I suppose, since the systray icon changes to display status information).
