 Please follow [wiki:TipsForBugReports the instructions] to get a debug log
 and attach it to this ticket.[[BR]]The '-' sign comes from the server (why
 Facebook is doing that, I have no earthly idea).  Is the issue that
 autocompletion in the Buddies->View User Log does not work or that opening
 a chat window with a buddy and selecting "View Log" does not work?

 Or is the issue that you are now missing the history from before the "-"
 was prepended?  (There's no way to fix this -- as far as
 Pidgin/libpurple/the XMPP prpl know, these are really new buddies).
