Comment:

 What is happening is that you have an old (looks like a '''VERY''' old)
 Glib dll in your PATH that Pidgin is finding instead of the one it needs.

 Searching on your drive for `libglib-2.0-0.dll` should turn up the
 culprit.

 That said, if you have successfully installed Pidgin along with its GTK+
 runtime (which should certainly happen if you check the first checkbox
 when using the "offline" installer).
