 The same in 2.7.0.

 To reproduce easily:
 * login to any IRC account;
 * close tab with conversation with NickServ, but make sure you have
 another conversation for this account — any channel will do;
 * type: "/msg NickServ xxx";
 * NickServ will reply with something and a new tab for this will be
 created.

 Note how new tab steals focus from your current tab: you can type text,
 but it will _not_ end where you expect it to be, but instead in a tab for
 NickServ, which is not active.
