 Hey cnicog. It's been a while and I don't know if you are still looking
 for this but I wanted to do the same thing with the icons. There is a
 Pidgin Tray zip attached, which includes the icons how you want, as well
 as copies of the originals.  All you have to do is extract the icons to
 "C:\Program Files\Pidgin\pixmaps\pidgin\tray\hicolor\16x16\status".
