#12045: Installer Bug: Cancelling GTK/Aspell download on windows does not cancel
install
------------------+---------------------------------------------------------
Reporter: gushi | Type: defect
Status: new | Component: pidgin (gtk)
Version: 2.7.0 | Keywords: installer gtk windows
------------------+---------------------------------------------------------
The subject really says it all, and I had another user confirm this.

If you cancel the gtk download at install-time, the pidgin installer
continues and tells you it has been installed successfully and asks you if
 you want to run Pidgin.

It seems that the exit state of the downloader should probably be checked,
if such a thing exists, otherwise pidgin should check again for GTK's
 presence after that step completes.

My experiences were with 2.7.0 under windows XP 32 bit; other versions may
be affected. Check mailing list archives for today to see the other
 reporter.
