 This is a rare but known issue with the plugin, it does not happen often
 but it does happen periodically and is virtually always the result of this
 plugin. As I said before, I have no idea what could possibly be causing it
 but I've also never spent any time trying to reproduce it or have the
 people running in to the problem gather all that much debugging
 information. They mostly just want the problem to go away and "disable the
 extprefs plugin" is enough.
