 I have Googled this issue and searched your site as well. I found
 [http://developer.pidgin.im/ticket/7500] and thought that this would be
 what I needed. Problem is is that I have not found a way to implement the
 patches and after searching a lot of forums it seems that I'm not alone.
 Are these patches able to be applied after Pidgin has already been
 installed or must they be applied to the pre-install? Thank you.

 HP Mini 1035nr, openSuSE 11.2 [desktop install], Pidgin 2.6.2
