 You mean, formatting the user name based on the contact status?

 It can be done by a pidgin plugin (look at the msn plus! color nicknames
 plugin). I don't think it is a "feature" we want to have as a default.

 If what you want is different, pleas be a little more verbose about your
 request, because I don't really understand you.
