 Quote from my post in a similar but report, it's an alternative but not a
 fix:

 Please use the offline install versions for now I don't know what is wrong
 with the normal versions sure they'll fix it soon, here's the link:
 http://sourceforge.net/projects/pidgin/files/Pidgin/2.7.0/pidgin-2.7.0-offline.exe/download
