Component: XMPP | Version: 2.7.0

My linux workstation using pidgin (2.6.2 on ubuntu 9.10) is able to talk
to my Apple jabberd (OS X Server 10.5) without difficulty.
Pidgin 2.7.0 on my Windows workstation is not.
I get server-side error messages that say:
May 14 10:09:33 autobahn jabberd/c2s[65668]: [7] [my-ip-address,
port=54841] error: SSL handshake error
(error:140760FC:SSLroutines:SSL23_GET_CLIENT_HELLO:unknown protocol)
