 I have absolutely no third party plugins.

 Up until a few nights ago, I hadn't updated in Pidgin in about 1.5 years,
 and I loved it, but it started crashing a lot so I figured I would
 upgrade. The new version is fine except 2 things:

 1) When I minimize it . . . it doesn't blink orange when I receive an IM.
 This makes conversations nearly impossible. Unless this gets fixed within
 the next week, or someone can show me some setting that I'm not seeing to
 restore it to what should be its default setting, then I'm going to switch
 to Digsby.

 2) The text input box for the IM window is so tiny. So is the "x" button
 for each tab. I looked and saw many people complaining about this back in
 2.6.0 - fix it already.

 I've tried to revert to my previous version of Pidgin with no success. I
 couldn't even get 2.6 to work (it would run, but not let me login). Do I
 need to both uninstall Pidgin AND the Gtk stuff, then reinstall?
