Comment:

 I don't think that the installer is corrupt, as I have downloaded it now
 six times.. also I thought about the firewall, so I removed it.. It has
 not made any difference.  I would like to install pidgin as I have used it
 in the past back when it first was released.  Any ideas on how to
 accomplish this install would be greatfully received.
