 I just had a contact change their name on our XMPP server and it changed
 in Pidgin so I don't know why that wasn't working before.  The issue with
 Facebook showing only bare Jabber IDs is still present though.

 A workaround for the Facebook issue is to just delete and re-add your
 Facebook/XMPP account.  This forces Pidgin to recreate the contacts.
