 OS is Win 7, 64 bit
 Windows proxy configuration is set to "Auto Detect" and works fine.
 However, installer does not try to use proxy configuration.  TCP dump
 shows that the installer tries to connect directly to download site for
 GTK+ on port 80, no attempts made to connect to proxy.
