Comment:

 Closed as duplicate of #5038.[[BR]]I think my last commit at #5038
 implements exactly what you described. The new mini-dialog looks like
 this: http://dfyz.info/Images/auth1.png (it shows the link and the “Buddy
 information” window that opens after clicking on it). You'll need GTK+ >=
 2.18 for the link to work.

 Unfortunately, since this commit contains some public API additions, this
 enhancement will only be included in 2.8.0, which I don't expect to be
 released any time soon.
