 That log is not from pidgin crashing. That log is from pidgin being killed
 (because of what appears to be an out of memory condition).

 Can you get another backtrace but also get the debug output from pidgin
 this time (pidgin -d)?

 How many accounts are you logging into when this happens? If more than
 one, Does it happen if you enable only a single account (you can use
 pidgin -n to start up without logging in)?
