 What the original reporter described is '''exactly''' the same issue that
 I am having. I will summarize this issue to show that it is the same:

 - For me, my MSN contacts appear online.[[BR]]
 - To my MSN contacts, I appear online.[[BR]]
 - I can initiate a chat conversation with them, but they cannot reply, nor
 can they initiate a conversation with me because it shows me as offline
 '''within the chat window'''.[[BR]]

 According to the appropriate portion of the debug.log that I posted, it
 appears that as soon as I initiate a chat, Pidgin kills the MSN
 connection. However, to my MSN users, I still appear online.

 Thank you for your consideration of this issue. I truly enjoy using
 Pidgin.
