 Using 2.7.5, I'm seeing many doubled messages. Not *every* incoming
 message is doubled, however. Does this merely mean that my internet
 connection is crappy enough to miss the 7-second timeout with regularity?
 I'm on cable, and don't often see problems with latency.

 I have been seeing this for several months. I tend to run the current
 version from the ~pidgin-developers launchpad PPA, so it's not a matter of
 being out of date.
