Pidgin crashes here for a very long time now (karmic, lucid, maverick), when
i do the following:
Some User sends me a msg. The Gnome message-indicator becomes green and
shows me the message.
I click on it and start chatting, blabla.
When everything is said, i close the window, but only the inner chat
related things disappear, outer windowframe with close, etc buttons and a
grey area stays.
Now i have two options:
a) i can close that "dead" window. When that particular user messages me
again, the sigsegv happens, everytime. Logs enclosed
b) Let it stay open. When that particular user sends me a message again,
the message will be displayed in that window.
This bug goes for every user whos message is opened through the indicator
applet. Opening it through pidgin is no problem!
My guess is that Pidgin does not register the opened chatwindow when its
opened through indicator and then tries crazy things on that unknown
chatwindow.
Please let me know which information you need.
2 backtraces enclosed.Maybe 1st one was without debugging symbols. 2nd one
is longer.
