Comment:

 So a few things to add. The couple of days before the MSN issue with
 certificates I found this went away (I sent out links to a few of my
 friends via MSN messenger and they ended up responding).

 I'm pretty certain I don't have any plug-ins installed, unless some
 install by default. Until today I haven't even thought of installing a
 plug-in, hadn't seen a need. Thanks for looking into this, but I suspect
 it can be closed.
