 Fresh install of 2.7.6, tried twice. Pidgin installs successfully, but
 fails to run after install. When the program is manually started from the
 Start menu, the attached error appears instead. There is no debug or crash
 log.

 I tried the instructions to generate a log, using the command
 pidgin.exe -d 2>&1 > "%USERPROFILE%\debug.log"
 But this command generated this error instead:
 "The system cannot execute the specified program."

 My system is Windows XP SP3, corporate build, 1.73 GHz, 1.99 GB RAM.

 I did a search for pidgin tickets on "invalid handle" and "handle is
 invalid" and turned up nothing useful.
