 Thanks for the quick response. I don't think I can install as
 administrator though. Is that required? This is a corporate machine. I was
 only trying pidgin to get around some issues I was having with google chat
 recently. It's possible that the antivirus could be interfering too I
 suppose - we have Symantec Endpoint Protection. I can't disable that
 either, so I guess I just can't use pidgin? I was hoping there'd be a
 workaround. I've already tried reinstalling, but I'll try one more time.
